Service Opportunities
Most Sundays after the 9 a.m. Mass, we gather in the Parish Center for coffee, donuts and fellowship. To make this possible, we are asking for your help in setting up, staffing the table and cleanup. This is a great way to help the church community, meet new people, and you get your first pick of donuts -- what could be better?! Parents of Sunday CCD students: this might be perfect for you to do while waiting for your children. Please sign up today!
At Our Lady Star of the Sea Parish we have many ministries that create a network of physical and spiritual support for our parishioners. Many ministries are apparent (lectors) and others are not so visible (visitation). All are equally vital to the life of the Parish. These programs are made possible by generous parishioners who willingly give of themselves and their time.
How you choose to give of your time and talent is ultimately connected to the reasons for being in this world – we are given time and talent, not only for our good, but for the good of others. Everyone possesses unique skills and abilities. The success of our ministries and committees depends upon the wealth of resources our parishioners can provide. What gifts and talents do you bring to our community? The Lord is calling each of us to give what we can. By becoming an active participant in our Parish, you help enrich the Body of Christ. To share your talents please call 781-631-0086. |

To facilitate the CORI reform law signed by the Governor of the Commonwealth, the Department of Criminal Information Services
recently put a new CORI access system in place. This new system called iCORI requires that all individuals provided the last 6 digits
of their Social Security Number along with other information required on the CORI request form. The form content is sent to the Archdiocese
by the Commonwealth for use in requesting CORI. The Archdiocese is certified to access the background of all clergy, seminarians, school
personnel including educators, staff and volunteers, designated parish volunteers, paid parish staff and Pastoral Center staff. The Archdiocese is
required to carry out the CORI process within the confines of the regulations put forth by the CORI Unit.
We appreciate the cooperation of all those required to complete the annual CORI
and we particularly thank you for keeping the pledge to protect those among us who are most vulnerable.
